History about the temple

The temple is located in the place nearly 1200 to 1300 years ago. The temple is a holy place for sevatambar Jains. This temple was renovated in 1207 by Acharya Shree Abhay Devsuri. The temple is also called as Vimpur. The temple is constructed by white marbles and it looks very beautiful. About the temple The temple is situated in Unhel, Jhalawar district, Rajasthan. The main deity in the temple is Lord Parshawanath the 23rd tirthankara. The idol is 13 1/2 feet height and it was green colored. This idol is made up of gold later it is changed to stone by the king Dharnendra by the advice of Acharya for being stolen. The idol of Lord parshwanath is with seven cobra. It was carved in a single piece of emerald stone. The other idols are Lord Shri Shantinath which is 4 feet tall, Lord padmavati, Shri Simandhar Swami, Shri Mani Badhra Veer. The lord Parshawanatha and Lord Mahavira are the main idols. Also there are 24 idols of tirthankaras in the temple. There are 7 hoods of snakes in it.
