History about the temple
The Tiruvannamalai and Villupuram districts have been a critical focal point of Jainism since bygone eras. Generally, there was a Jain Math at Kanchipuram anyway it was moved to its current zone here. Venkatappa Nayak is said to have given approval during his standard to build this Sithamur Jain Temple. Afterward, in 1860 Common Era, a Jain expert in the Madras Provincial Services, Sri Baliah, obliterated a couple of stone-pieces including the exceptional stone elephants from the Gingee Venkataramana Temple, to make structures in the Sittamur Jain temple. About the temple
There are two temples and one of them is committed to Parshvanatha. The other sanctuary is committed to Malinatha and it was initially a stone containing rock-cut pictures of Bahubali, Parsvanatha, Adinatha, Mahavira and Ambika yakshi. These pictures were cut in the ninth century CE. Parshvanatha temple is a seven storeyed pinnacle with an all-out tallness of in excess of 70 feet. Pictures of tirthankaras are cut on temple dividers. Fundamental symbol of Parsvanatha sanctuary is a dark hued 14 feet icon of Parsvanatha in Padmasan act. The 52 feet mana stambha in the sanctuary is a stone monument.
